Nikitakis, who was born in Thessaloniki and grew up in Cologne, released his debut album "Kitchen songs" with his then band A Fat Morgana on Chlodwig in 1994. Nikitakis subsequently worked with various bands (Brainstorm, Idols, Friendship, Shahbrack), briefly joined Bläck Fööss, wrote for Wolfgang Niedecken, composed the classic "Arsch huh Zäng ussenander" and released his album The Blues from Thessalonia for the first time under Nikitakis and finally his award-winning album Les cycles de Theodorakis in 2002.
In 2012, Nikitakis played in front of 70,000 spectators in Cologne at the Arsch huh 2012 event and began recording for Jam Francisco. The virtuoso master of all string instruments recorded his first English-language blues album in San Francisco.
