basta - "Domino" (CD)
The a cappella group's 2014 album is available again on CD.
Basta's new bass Arndt Schmöle presents himself to the audience with the song of the same name. And what the audience hears from the band is, as usual, both funny and intelligent. After all, the five men are not wrongly considered to be the most original a cappella formation in Germany. Whether they are appearing as their own opening act, performing the world's worst mouth drum solo in the song "The Man Who Couldn't Beatbox", or offering a combination of 90s monk pop and the retelling of a failed games night in "Domino" - nothing and no one is safe from Basta's humor, least of all Basta himself. But despite all the comedy, it is precisely the nuances that make Basta's songs stand out. That is also what the numerous fans love about them: how they find poetry in the adversities of life, in the small moments that are so easily overlooked. It is declarations of love for life that make Basta. Of course, you shouldn't expect too much peace and quiet from the evening, after all, the name "Domino" says it all: Basta's new show is simply amazing!
