PORT WENDIGO
Künstlerische Vision im Düster-Pop-Gewand
Port Wendigo ist ein kollaboratives Musikprojekt aus Köln, gegründet von Clara Clasen und Chris Mock. Die Musik bewegt sich zwischen alternativem Pop, atmosphärischen Klangflächen und klaren Songstrukturen. Im Zentrum stehen erzählerische Songs mit reduzierten Arrangements und einer eigenständigen klanglichen Handschrift.
Mit der Veröffentlichung einer zweiten EP erweitern Port Wendigo ihr bisheriges Repertoire. Die neuen Stücke knüpfen inhaltlich und musikalisch an die erste EP an und führen die gemeinsame Arbeit konsequent fort. Beide EPs erscheinen erstmals gebündelt auf Vinyl und bilden ein zusammenhängendes Release, das zwei Schaffensphasen des Projekts bündelt.
Die Vinylauflage ist auf 100 Exemplare limitiert und wird auf farbigem Recycling-Vinyl gepresst. Die Platte enthält beide EPs in voller Länge und erscheint ausschließlich in dieser Edition.
Clara Clasen ist Musikerin und Songwriterin aus Bonn mit einem Hintergrund in Musikwissenschaft, Sound Studies und Philosophie. Sie tourte deutschlandweit mit ihrem Solo-Projekt und wurde für ihr Album „scene“ (2022) für den popNRW Newcomer Preis nominiert. Chris Mock ist Toningenieur, Produzent und Künstler aus Köln sowie Gründungsmitglied der Post-Punk- und NDW-Band „Illegale Farben“.

Artistic vision in a dark-pop attire
Port Wendigo is a collaborative music project from Cologne, founded by Clara Clasen and Chris Mock. The music moves between alternative pop, atmospheric soundscapes, and clear song structures. At its core are narrative-driven songs with reduced arrangements and a distinctive sonic signature.
With the release of a second EP, Port Wendigo expand their existing repertoire. The new tracks connect thematically and musically to the first EP and consistently continue the duo’s collaborative work. Both EPs are released together on vinyl for the first time, forming a cohesive release that brings together two creative phases of the project.
The vinyl edition is limited to 100 copies and pressed on colored recycled vinyl. The record includes both EPs in full and is released exclusively in this edition.
Clara Clasen is a musician and songwriter from Bonn with a background in musicology, sound studies, and philosophy. She has toured throughout Germany with her solo project and was nominated for the popNRW Newcomer Award for her album scene (2022). Chris Mock is a sound engineer, producer, and artist from Cologne, and a founding member of the post-punk and Neue Deutsche Welle band Illegale Farben.
